Load #2: R&P Brass, WLR Primer, 140 gr Sierra Pro Hunter, 41.7 gr IMR 4895

2733 fps :scrutiny:

Load #3: Remington Express Core-Lokt, 140 gr PSPCL

2845 fps :what:

Usually, factory stuffed Euro calibers from USA manufacturers falls below the advertised # (2660 fps) so I was stunned to see it chrono and print on target right between the full house and modest hand loads.

Commercial 8mm ammo is downloaded because there are old mausers out there with .318 bore diameter, as opposed to the standard .323. I am not aware of the same situation with 7mm ammunition.

If you are loading ammo hotter than factory stuff chronoed, I don't know why you would be mad. It is not hot if it meets SAAMI specs. Did the bolt open with difficulty or was extraction difficult? Did the primer fall out of the brass?

If you don't see excessive pressure signs I see no reason to be concerned.
