Some of you may know I had a complete head seperation on my .303 enfield. This was the first and hopefully the last time. I tried pulling a bronze brush tight into the neck and tapping it out with no luck.

I took it to a gunsmith yesterday and he got a lag bolt of the proper size, cut off the head and took a hacksaw and made a slot for a screwdriver. He then sharpened some of the threads and flattened out the end. He then insereted the tool into the chamber and screwed it in and tapped out the shell.

It took him about 15 minutes. Does anyone know what would be a fair price for his services?

He told me I didn't owe him anything and I only had $5. on me so I told him the next time I saw him I'd give hime some more.

Give him a nice bottle of whiskey. Or else forget it. He seems to be OK with the idea.
