I have an odd request: Could some kind user who owns a Ka-Bar TDI, upload a close up profile pic of the knife, with a dollar bill for scale? Id prefer the original TDI with the shorter blade.

I want to try my hand at making my own, and would like an actual size pic, so that i may trace the outline of the knife for a template.

I've searched google and none of the pics have anything useful for scale.

here's a diagram of what im requesting:

thanks!:)

I'm not sure if I have the original you want, but it looks about the size of the one pictured. I'll try to take care of it in the next hour or so if someone doesn't beat me to it. Have a ruler handy - do you use the imperial system or metric?

I prefer imperial, a ruler pictured would be perfect.
As far as it appearing the right size to you, the issue is with screen resolution. The same image may appear life size on a one screen, but not on mine. What I will do is; I will take the picture with the ruler or dollar, or whatever you use for scale, and stretch or shrink the image until the scale item is actual size. Then ill place a piece of paper on my laptop screen and trace the knife.

Thank you so much!

Sorry for the hold up. My ruler is metal unfortunately and was glaring terribly, so hopefully these will work.

Edit: steel is about 1/8" in the tang and jimping, tapers to 1/16" toward the tip
