Has anyone been able to use the Hornady dies for 300 Whisper/BLK yet? How did they work, and is there a vast difference in how much the brass is "worked" vs the Forster dies?

I want to reload for this cartridge, and want to form quality brass from .223 cases, but it is hard to ignore the HUGE difference in price between the Forster & Hornady die sets.

Of course any help that can be provided is MUCH appreciated!

I recently purchased a set of Hornady 300 Blackout resizing dies. They work for resizing.

I do not plan on reforming 300 Blackout brass at this time. I have dies to make 221 Remington Fireball brass from 223 Remington and it is too labor intensive if preformed brass is available. I am not sure if 300 Blackout would be much easier.

These will probably be the last set of Hornady dies I will purchase unless under duress. I like the seaters but the resizer and mouth expander (handgun, not 300 blk) are lacking something. Nothing major but lots of little things different with each die.

I have no experience with Forster dies.
