While looking at Midway's web site I noticed the pistol rotor for the Hornady LnL powder measure. After a little research I found out that according to Hornady the pistol rotor is not supposed to work with the LnL bench rest powder measure. Well, I have the bench rest measure and was bumming about that.

I did a little more research and found a gentleman on the S&W forum that ordered the rotor for his LnL BR measure and said that it works just fine.

I ordered one after seeing that, tried it out, ran a bunch of tests and it works great. I have never thrown charges of Unique that were this consistant.

So anyway, if you have a LnL BR measure and wanted to get the pistol rotor for it, go ahead it works great.

Just an FYI

Whoops, I never noticed that clause. I've been using my Pistol Rotor for a while. It is much more accurate for Pistol loads (go figure).

Also, just as an aside, I have never found that +/- 0.2gn Unique loads with my powder measure have never been less accurate than those weighed out on my RCBS Charge Master--out to 50 yards.
Unique seems VERY forgiving and more people should simply try the loads before they worry about the loads.

Absolutely true. Great on target results over ride any charge weight variance. Same for ES & SD numbers.

My problem using the lee auto disc is that charges for .45 and 9mm are usually pretty consistant.

Lighter charges for 7.62x38r, .32 acp, 38 S&W, etc are usually all over the place from a couple flakes of powder to .5 ish over. In those small cases with old pistols that could be a bad thing. I do my loading using the batch method so I never get caught with too little powder, just have to go through and charge them again and again or trickle them on the scale for a couple hundred rounds. Too much powder can be hard to see though.

The pistol rotor is throwing charges right where they need to be so I am happy now!
