I found a bunch of both Hornady & Nosler brass in .270 at the range. Do Hordady & Nosler make thier own or are theyproduced for them by Fed, Win or RP?

I think they make it. I use Hornady on my 223 and it is listed in the Hornady catalog as one of their products.

I have used Nosler brass in my .243 going on 8 or more firings and have had pretty good case life out of them. ** However** I bought 3 boxes at one time and was noticing the case heads were warped on 3 after 2 firings. Never experienced this on Winchester, Remington or Federal brass. I chalked it up to a bad case in each box.

Other than that they were very uniform in weight, in fact IDENTICAL to a box of once fired Federal brass. Taking every measurement I could come up with the Federal brass and Nosler brass were the same. I'm starting to get a few primer pockets loosening but I am not very good at keeping records so those cases may have been fired over 10 or 12 times. But in all everything has been done at least 8 times.

When I replace them I will likely go with Nosler brass again.

Hornady brass is really good for some cartridges and not so much with others. Their .338 Lapua and .204 Ruger brass are sub par while the brass that they are the sole, or primary, manufacturers of like 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Marlin Express is very good to excellent.

Nosler brass is on the whole, excellent.

I have had good luck with Nosler brass in 308 Win, it is rumored to be made by Norma but I have heard of other possible manufacturers possibly Lapua

Thanks fellas, I'm good to go for this year but, I try it out in the spring. I kinda thought they would be a good product. I 'preciate your info.
