How about a non gun topic board???

I'm sure it has been mentioned befor but....................

How would admin & everyone else feel about an area to discuss other than gun related topics?? These subjects seem to come up on the general gun discussions board. Disagreements would be OK so long as it was civil;no personal attacks or name calling between members.

It seems to me that gun people tend to follow other issues & events & often have strong opinions about non gun topics. We also tend to have some very right leaning non PC viewpoints. I know I do.

We could discuss all kind of stuff like abortion,race relations,welfare,crime,immigration,drug policy, the role of government....ect, without being off topic.

We can talk about our other hobbies. I'm guessing there are some history buffs out there who would recommend a place of interest for another to visit. Me.....I like motorcycles & I'm sure I'm not the only one here who does. Maybe you are a ham radio operator.......whatever. You can tell us about it. This would also be a good place to talk computers.

Any feedback positive or negative would be welcome.

This suggestion has been put down so many times before that it's not even worth it to ask anymore. The staff want to talk about guns and focus on ways to preserve our right to arms. They seem to want to stay focused on that.

Other political subjects get discussed in the legal section anyway.

Mark said it well. Frank, your question has indeed been asked numerous times and it has been stated numerous times that THR is focused solely on firearms and related civil rights.

Normally I would move this to the Suggestion forum, but that isn't necessary since you would only get similar answers. So, in truth, no further discussion is necessary.
