How do you become a certified firearms instructor in Minnesota

It just wasn't the training I was looking for. I appreciate the effort but there's no need to be condescending.

It's important that if/when I pay for a training course that it is run by instructors that I can learn from because I will need to pass on that information to my students with as much accuracy as possible.

If the attitude conveyed in the websites you provided didn't strike me as being conducive to a good learning environment. More like boot camp.

No. The NRA does not teach permit to carry classes. NRA instructor certification in Pistol and Personal Protection Outside the Home are **generally** prerequisites for **many** BCA approved instructor training organizations in MN but requirements can differ.

Generally the track goes like this:
1. Get NRA Pistol instructor
2. Get NRA PPOTH instructor
3. Find a company on the MN BCA roster, contact them and if they accept you, you go through their own training specific to permit to carry in MN. After the training you end up with 3 certificates. 2 NRA and one from ShootFirst, LLC

Question: Does the NRA teach CCW (permit to carry a pistol) instructor courses in Minnesota? I'm not aware of one.

Tepin ... ?

As to the OP, I'm sorry the information I provided when nobody bothered to response to your inquiry was way too negative for you.

This is true. NACFI charges 350.00 per year to maintain instructor status. MADFI is 35.00 per year. Some other orgs don't charge anything.

The two organizations I provided a link to (you're welcome) are the main organizations that train CCW instructors.

The first is the oldest and founded by the guys who wrote the Mn carry law.

The second is very active.....
