Thought this might be interesting, so I'll start it off. I live on a farm, so can shoot whenever I want. Usually I will use an old swing set frame, and hang tires from it with targets in the middle of the tire. I will swing them sideways, at angles, and back and forth. I shoot from three to ten paces, starting with my back turned so I can't "time" the targets. Most of my shooting at these is done with what some call "one hand shoulder point". If I have any volunteers available, I will have him roll a tire with target affixed, down a hill. I set stakes down near the bottom, and fire as the target passes between them. A lot of fun, sometimes I even hit them! For aimed fire practice, I shoot on a league. We shoot "slow, timed, and rapid" fire at twentyfive yards. What do you do to sharpen up? NO, I don't want to know what kind of gun, or caliber you shoot, just how?:)

IPSC and IDPA matches, not so much for tactics but to see how much I brainfart under pressure.

.22LR for marksmanship and trigger reset practice.

Dryfire for drawing

Currently I shoot every Tuesday. I practice at an outdoor range and set up targets at 3,7,15 and 25 yards. I shoot standing, sitting, one-handed and two-handed. Sometimes I'll shoot at empty shotgun shells that some other shooter has left scattered around the range, to shoot at too I assume. That's pretty fun because you don't know exactly what distances they're at.

Load, unload, repeat :)

Mostly just fixed target at about 15 yards. Need to test other distances to see where POI is on the gun for when I go take my class. Then occasionaly some clay shooting on the berms.

For reaction training I will sometimes roll a clay pigeon with my strong hand. Then draw and fire. Its hard to hit the thing before it stops. Usually get no more than 3 misses at it. I've been doing this for a couple of months and have gotten to the point I can break maybe 40% of them.

200 rounds through house gun & 550 22lr. Practice at 50': slowfire for accuracy; bring it in to 25' to practice double taps. Do a lot of dryfiring for added trigger control.

Indoor ranges I practice the fundamentals of pistol shooting.

Breath
Sight Picture
Trigger control
etc

On outdoor ranges, I'll work from the holster and drill on the rest.

Outdoor range, slow fire at seven, 15, or 25 yards, mostly the first two. Range doesn't permit "rapid fire" or drawing from a holster or moving while shooting. No moving targets. I shoot standing, mostly two-handed, some strong- and weak-handed. I'll usually shoot at least 100 rounds for every handgun I bring. I'd like to find somewhere with more variety to supplement what I do there.

Shoot, shoot, shoot...

Everything from 0 to 50 yards with pistol. Mostly 0-15 yards. Shoot at my firends ranches, the PD range and occasionally in matches. Shoot my qual course once a month minimum. Recently I have slowed down and only do about 200-300 rounds a month. I used to go through several thousand a month.

But again the object to me is shoot, shoot, shoot.
