how fast is too fast?

Not going to say that running hot and fast (velocity, and time between shots) dosent reduce their life span. BUT im very much of the same opinion as VT, barrels are consumable items. Shoot it how you want till it's fried, then have it replaced and do it again!

For sure. If you really burn out a barrel, the amount of $$$ to replace it pales in comparison to what you spent sending ammo down the pipe. At some point they are a wear item.
