I've got a Israeli made Kareen MKII Browning HP clone frame that came with only a Ceiner .22 conversion unit on it. The frame has no manufacturer name on it. The rubber grips have a KSA industries logo. There is only the importer initials and his number on the frame.

I intend to build a top end for it with a spare BHP slide and barrel that I have. Obviously that will not make it a BHP though Browning and FN will be the only distinguishing name on it. When I transferred it from my FFL he wanted to call it a Ceiner. I said, "You can call it whatever you want I guess but it's not a Ceiner pistol." As far as I know Ceiner has never made complete guns.

When you make a frankengun does it really matter what goes on the 4473 for name and model? Come to think of it Hi Power is nowhere to be found on a BHP.
As a matter of fact I don't really even know what goes on the part that the FFL fills out. I'm just presuming they ask for a make and model.

to BAFTE the frame/receiver is the gun, so you can't go wrong with what the receiver says, esp. since that is the serial number that is reordered. I believe that they even have a FAQ about this.

Are you sure it's not KSN, also marked on the slide (KSN industried LTD)?

Kareen Mk II is the model.

They were imported by J.O. Arms in Houston until 1996

Model, not so much. You can just say "Semi-Auto". But manufcturer or importer, yes. S/N alone is not enough, even though many manufacturers can be distinguished by that

On closer inspection, you're correct, it is KSN.

Thanks for the info. I knew about J O Arms importing them, the only stamp on the receiver is 94 J.O. 2021.
