how does the ACR compare to all the other evil guns? what should I expect to pay for one and any other info that you know of them is helpfull

thanks
Zach

Well since they don't actually exist yet your guess is as good as anyone elses. Early '09 is the latest date I saw for general availability.

it is gonna have alot of plastic on it, so chances are it won't be a good gun for the sub-1000 budget shooter.

I was saving up for one but got impatient and ordered a Noveske, which will probably end up being a better rifle anyway. I wouldn't wait, especially without knowing when you'll be able to get one, or if you'll be able to get one after the election.

well, Polymer is pretty strong. Actually, very strong. Look at the Pmag, same company.

think a cross of a AK, AR 15, AR 18, FN SCAR, ect. supposed to be pretty good, but they all are....... Really, we won't know till they come out.
:)

While I wouldn't put off buying a first rifle to wait for the ACR, I'm optimistic about it's release and am hoping for good news at, or by, 2009 SHOT. If Bushmaster and Magpul have any sense at all they'll get their ducks in a row and Bushmaster will be ready to take orders at the show.

From what I've seen of the gun, and I did see one in person at the '07 SHOT Show, it has a lot of very promising features. The only letdown or thing that I'd like to see changed is that I wish it took standard AR bolts, but as I understand it it takes a proprietary bolt.
