Do any of you have a rule of thumb you use for annealing? I'm about to load some .308 brass for the fourth firing and wonder if I need to anneal the necks.

It's Remington .308 brass with 45.5 IMR4895 behind a 150g HDY BTSP. I neck size only and all firings have been in the same bolt action chamber.

I usually do 223, 243, and 308 after 3 - 5 firings. Just depends on how much neck springback I get when necksizing.

I go with 3 to 4 firings........... but that is when shot out of a semi-auto.
Since you are using a bolt gun and neck-sizing only - I would think you could let it go longer, maybe the 5 to 6 route.
