How to finish a new 1903A3 stock from CMP ?

Getting the box tomorrow with a Mann Accy Device and a new 03a3 stock. I am not sure if it is finished or not. Looks like it may have some Linseed oil on it. If not what should I put on it. I have some Military stock red spirit stain left over, or could continue with either Linspeed oil or Tung oil or some other gunstock varnish I have around. I am open to suggestions.
