Hi, my Dad has a Harrington & Richardson Gamester model 348 bolt-action shotgun he bought when he was 14 years old (he's about 65 now).
Last time we tried to fire it, we got nothing but CLICK!
I took it apart and the firing pin tip is snapped off. I ordered a new firing pin from E-gunparts.com
I got the bolt apart into 2 halves by removing a drift pin. Now I see how to remove the firing pin.
However, there is a spring with a washer and a retaining c-clip type thing. Any suggestions as to how I can compress this spring and hold it in place so I can remove the spring retainer? It looks like a job that takes 3 or 4 hands.
