How wrong am I?

I have a Walther P99AS in .40S&W. Love the pistol and love the caliber. However there are a few things I would change on it to make it fit me a little better, some of these were answered with the PPQ M1 with the better grip and multi position rail. Looking at some detailed side by side pictures of the P99 and PPQ got me thinking, how interchangeable are the parts? The only difference I did see internally was the slide mounted decocker on the P99. My thought was to get a Walther PPQ M1 in 9mm and use my P99 slide/barrel when I wanted to shoot .40 instead of 9mm. Is this even feasible?

Not to sure you, could try asking on http://www.waltherforums.com/forum/. Have to agree with you the P99AS is a nice pistol. The best "plastic" pistol IMHO.
