Howa m1500 thumbhole sporter

I am considering a howa thumbhole sporter in 25-06 or 7mm-08. I know the calibers and just want to get some opinions of these guns. Is it worth the cost for the thumbhole laminate over the howa hogue?

I noticed the calibers are not too different in their versatility the 7mm-08 has a little more energy down range but if my range finder can't read it i won't shoot. ( I got a range finder for christmas finally! Woo hoo!) exclaims

if you are going to be using it for hunting i'd definately go with the Hogue.
