Vampires are fashionable right now, lots of Hollywood coverage going on.

The Slingshot Channel can not ignore this important tendency in entertainment.

Vampires are usually disposed off by means of a wooden stake, rammed right through the undead creature's heart. So shooting a stake is the challenge of the day.

A vampire stake is no lightweight thing, many movies clearly demonstrated that a 1" rod is minimum, and penetration must be about 8 to 10 inches to be on the safe side. This means that the stake will weigh 8 to 10 ounces.

Includes a training stake!

The stake really should be coated with garlic juice for maximum effect plus the juice will help lubricate the stake for better penetration.

I was astounded at your first shot, launching a projectile that heavy over that distance and it burying all the way in.

Wouldn't this be more of a speargun though?
 
This is the world's most fearless cat. I once filmed her going down into a fresh fox burrow.
 
Very versatile! You could also use it for head shots on zombies, without the noise of a gun to attract the rest of the horde.

Amazing as always! It might need a silver tip to make it dual-purpose for Vamires and Werewolves.. then you could rid us of this whole "Twilight" phenomenon! haha...

I'm not sure what all the arrow was made of, but I wonder what a super-lightweight design would do?
 
Thanks, hso, for letting this thread survive! It was meant as a bit of comedy really. What would life be without a mixture of good old fun and crazy, potentially dangerous homemade weapons? :)

An excellent invention. I am sure it is capable of disposing of every vampire you will encounter. :)
 
Now I can kill all the vampires of Twilight and hopefully put an end to that madness.

From the looks of it I will need to get about 10 meters from Edward, shoot, and if the video is any indication, he will be dead in the next county.
 
Some day, I expect to see your madder experiments such as this and the machete slingshot appearing in a movie, perhaps Van Helsing 2 or somesuch. ;)
