I am the proud owner of a Brand New Sig P226.

Picked her up friday night, stripped her down and lubed her up. today i took her and the girlfriend to the range. what a great day. i let her shoot a lot just so i could take pictures of my two favorite girls. Pictures will be posted monday of my two ladies. I took a lot of 35mm photos and i have not finished my darkroom yet so i still rely on meijer photo finishing!

i love it and couldn't be happier with my first handgun!!!

Just out of curiousity, did the dealer throw anything else in with the gun when you picked it up? It was the least he could do after the numerous inconveniences.
 
My wife owns a 9mm P226 with original hicap mags. She bought it years ago. It is rarely fired now but is one of the most accurate and reliable weapons we own.

Congrats on the 226. The 226 in 9mm was my first Sig.....soon after they started to multiply into a 225 and a 220ST. Next on the list is the 226ST or the GSR in .45ACP and 9mm!
 
You finally got a SIG :D . Congrats, I know you've been wanting one forever! I'm sure it will prove itself worth the wait. My first handgun was also a SIG, only mine was a P220.

Sig 226

Congrats. You have one of the best semi's available. I bought my Sig 226 in 1984 and still love it. No other semi-auto out there that is easier to take down. Get a 229 in either .357 or .40 cal and have two calibers available and use the same mags for both. It is a nice set up. Enjoy your Sig, for a lifetime.
 
Pity the fool that somehow manages not to like the P226. Unquestionably the best full size 9mm I've had the pleasure of trying.
