This will probably get moved to the revolver forum, so all those old-timer wheel-gun cronies can gloat a little bit.

I finally broke down and bought a revolver. It will be my last handgun (5th) for quite some time. I need to work on shotguns and rifles for a while.

I thought you guys would appreciate some pictures.(That 3rd pic makes a great wallpaper)

Gosh Golly! This thing is fun to shoot! And it’s loud! (I’m sure the 2-inch barrel helps.)

I started with 158gr soft tips and this baby tried to fly away on me. The 110gr JHPs were much easier to handle. (and the .38 special rounds will be great for the old lady)
Go ahead and jump in there, ladies, and put me in my place.

If only it held a few more rounds….

For a one wheelgun stable you sure picked a good one. At one time I had three SP's and have two now. Great guns indeed.

Yes, it's a RIA 1911, and it's giving me terrible problems with stem binds. I think it's a barrel link problem. I need to get with 1911 Tuner to get some advice.

Three suggestions from a fellow sp101 owner:

1. Try a set of houge mono-grips.

2. You'll find the fixed sights shoot to point of aim with most 158 grain 357 mag loads.

3. IF you decide on ankle carry, get a Loui Allesi ankle rig. (Trust me on this. I wasted A LOT of money on cheaper/lesser pruducts. My sp has been riding in an Allesi ankle rig for over 5 years now, no complaints whatsoever.)
