Savage 110 BA in 338 Lapua Magnum. I have no earthly use for it. Maybe planetary defense or dinosaur hunting. 'Course my mother in law could qualify on that one.

So what is a scope that befits the rifle? Meaning, most for the money.

I understand that it doesn't really shoot huge cartridges, it shoots $20.00 bills.

Well, if you're talking most for the money and can stand up to the recoil, I'd have to say Nightforce. A 5.5-22X50 should work nicely.

This thread makes me so happy. The Savage 110BA is by far my favorite sniper out there and the .338 Lapua Magnum is my favorite round. There is definetly a reason to buy this $2,000 monster, but it is unknown (for 1 mile shoots). And to crown this king, you would need to put a Leupold Mark IV 8.5-25x50 on it.
