I Joined The S&W Model 19 Club Today

It's bad when you a have a gunshop calling you at work telling you about the newest addition to their used inventory. I guess that is telling me that I spend too much money there.

Well, I got a call this morning about a 4" bbl model 19 that had just come in. "Would you like to look at it?". "Why yes, I'll be down at lunch to take a peek."

A couple of hours and $300 later I end up being the new owner of a S&W nickel 4" bbl model 19 with the box.:D It looks like it has not been shot much at all and seems to lock up well.

I need someone to hide my wallet from me.
 
Congrats on your new Model 19 4". You will love the gun and 300 is a very good price. Too bad I can't find one like that for $300 :banghead:
 
You will absolutely love it. Mine is my favorite range gun. The only problem is that if you do a lot of shooting in DA the serrations on the trigger will make your finger sore!

I'm not a big nickel fan either, but I couldn't pass it up for that price.

congrats, I love my 19. Afriend of mine is looking for one and hasn't found any for a good price, I am gonna send him this thread just to mess with him...
 
Nice gun

I already have a nickel 19 4" but I would have bought another at that price, nice find. Look at it as having a gun shop on retainer.
 
Welcome to the club. You got a superb revolver at a GREAT price. Best revolver S&W ever made, they obviously won't make any more as nice as that, and that is sad.

Enjoy your model 19, let us know how it shoots!

The price you paid sounds excellent for a S&W 19. I bought one a few weeks ago and had to pay a lot more than that. Mine is the blued 2.5 inch barrel variety. I'd buy all of these I could find for $300 each.

I paid $450.00 for mine and I did not get the box
I do like mine though, I believe I just bought it too soon !
 
A steal at that price...

I think after shooting this gun it will become one that will NEVER leave your battery.

The trigger is practically without equal, and these guns are supremely accurate ((actually making myself almost look like a marksman)).

I found another 4" model 19 today at another shop for $379. This one was blued with a little wear. I had to pass it up for lack of funds, though. I guess you can't have 'em all.
 
Congrats! and that is a great price!

I love my 6" 19-5 and I just put down $$ today for a mint condition 2.5"! :cool:
