I bougt a SIG P220 ST in .45ACP yesterday, and today I went to the range and shot it. What a great pistol! :D

The recoil was virtually non-existant. My fiancee shot it comfortably as well. I tore the bullseye out of the target at 25-yards. Incredible!

I never thought I'd say this, but I don't miss my Glock.

Can a P220ST handle 45 Super?

How about the S&W 4506?

Greeting's All-

Well folk's as you can see, I converted our friend and
fellow THR member Rebeldon over from Glock's
to SIG's ;) ! (LOL)

Congratulations Rebeldon, I'm sorry it took so long~

As the ole' saying goes, "If I can ever get anyone to
try a SIG "Classic P-series"; then chances are you will
be hooked". :D There is NOTHING quite like a SIG! :uhoh:

Anybody else want too switch?

Anybody else want too switch?

Not exactly switch, because I don't have any gun here thanks to gun laws, but I was always interested in SIG's. One for my (220 in .45) and one for my wife (239 in 9mm) when we will arrive in US. But first we need one for lot of practice probably in 9mm thanks to ammo cost. How about used 226? Is it possible to buy conversion kit in .22 for 226? Thank you?

Greeting's Adam And A Big Warm Welcome From The "Deep
Cold South" U.S.A-

I'm really not familiar with the Polish gun laws; but I
wish all could enjoy the happiness of owning a SIG
"Classic P-series" self-loader. I'm not up-to-date on
any kind'a conversion kit for the SIG P226; but may
be someone else will be along that has correct info
regarding the matter. As for pricing, yes there are
a lot of distributor's that offer police trade-in P226's
at an attractive price. Probably, the first palce to
look on the web would be CDNN investments? It
seems like they had used, either P220's in .45 or
P226's in 9m/m for around $475.00 U.S. dollars.
I don't particulary care for this outfit, cuz when
they obtain a hard-to-get or high dollar self loader
lot's of times they will rob the box of the extra mag;
choosing to scalp the unsuspecting public! IMHO,
thats NO WAY to do business. I haven't seen any
real deals on the very popular 9m/m P239?
Folks that own them are apparently hanging on
to them with tight fist's.

Hey my friend, if I can be of any further help don't
hesitate to call!

I like the P220ST but it is one heavy muthu...

Yeah, they're heavy all right, but with the right holster/belt combo I find it carries just as well as any other full size auto. I love my 220ST. :D

Ain't it sweet? My P220ST is one of my favorite's (out of about 20 pistols (not including the 20 revolvers)). The trigger is awesome, even the first DA. It's the Hemi of guns!! Welcome to the club

The SIG P220ST will probably be my first handgun purchase of the new year. It will sit next to my standard P220 quite nicely.

cheers

I bought mine a few months back because I know what Sigs are worth and a guy I shoot IDPA with was selling one for a price I couldn't pass up:what: I wasn't looking to buy a Sig but this one just kinda fell into my lap. So I figured I'd buy it and turn around, sell it, make a few bucks on the deal. I thought to myself "I better shoot it to make sure it works and how accurate it is." Well folks, that was my undoing. Once I fired a box of ammo thru it I made it my new carry/work weapon. It's alittle on the heavy side but I bought a different belt and new Don Hume H721 OT and it rides nice and easy.

Greeting's Rebeldon-

The P232 is an excellent choice also, my friend. :)
But don't rule out the older version, the P230!:D
Either would make for an excellent CCW piece.;)

PS: Many thanks for your interest in SIG-SAUER
firearms. Now, go and enjoy that new P220ST.
