I have 2 snub nose 38 for carry and looking at a Ruger LCP for pocket carry but I would also like a small 9 to carry any sugestion on one that would carry as good as my taurus model 85 38.

Well, it depends how absolutely small and in what 9mm flavor you want. The Ruger LCP/Kel-tec380 would both fit the category of super-small in your front shirt pocket/key-ring accesory gun category. stepping one step up in size and power the Khar 9mm/.40, KT PF9 and KT11/KT40 would fit in the next size up, while still being small enough to be pocket carried if you have reasonably sized pockets.

Of those, I would say either LCP or the Khar are your best choices. The Keltec's can be a mixed bag, although they have gotten much more consistent as of late. Main issue is that the browning system was never meant to be scaled down that far, so its as much a flaw of the design as the guns. Some get ones that are flawless out of the box and for thousands of rounds with no hicups to speak of, while some get ones that are lemons. Mind you I own a PF9 and I am very pleased with it.

How about a glock 26 nice and compact and still hold a good clip full.

I did look at the glock 26 and the xd sub compact just not as easy to conceal as my 38 snub so I probley wouldn't carry it.I think I need to look at the khar it looks to be the smallest 9 maybe about the size of my snuby.I also saw the new walther but I want something reliable and I don't know much about any of these guns.

I have the Kel-tec PF-9 and also a Kahr 9098N. I shoot the PF-9 well, but not the Kahr. I think it is the long trigger pull on the Kahr that bothers me. It pulls the striker back all the way and doesn't have a pre-cock like the Glock and others like the Ruger SR-9 have. The other thing about the Kahr is the weight.

Honestly, I've gotten to the point that I mostly carry the S&W 357 Magnum, in Scandium just because it is so light in my pocket, and I know it will always work.

woad_yurt, good point, shame on me for forgetting that one! In the same category a CZ-83 might be a decent idea too, but I'm not sure on the size of that one, or if it is conducive to pocket carry.

If you get a chance..

...

Try and take a look at a Springfield Armory EMP 1911 9mm 3" barrel, single stack mags (3) 9+1, SAO crisp-break-trigger, wood grips, real Night Sights.

Mine has 1200 flawless rounds to-date, using either 115gr JHP for the wife, or 124gr JHP when I use it..

Very ccw, very balanced for easy point to aim accuracy up close, or out to 63ft, max, at my indoor range.

look at the kahr steel framed line like the k9 and the k9 elite they are sweet reliable, accurate sun compact guns that are easy to conceal. they have a nice smooth thrigger and just a joy to shoot.

Kahr PM9, MK9 if the weight doesn't bother you for pocket carry (more weight usually=easier to shoot). Lonestar's Springfield Armory suggestion would also be a nice choice. Since you are a snub guy anyway, how about trying to find a nice used (since no one makes them anymore) 9mm snub- S&W used to make them, and Taurus made the 905 until very recently.

Yes the EMP would be one of myfirst choice's it is a sweet gun and I like the DA/Sa maybe I will just save up and get one.
It's not that I'm a snub guy It's just easy to carry but I shoot auto's better.

The relatively new Walther PPS is worth a look. It offers three different magazine capacities, extra backstraps for hand-fit, and comes in 9mm (as well as .40 S&W). Both Guns and Ammo and Gunblast.com have given it good reviews. If you want to see it in action, here's a link to the video posted by the Gunblast folks:

I like my KT PF-9. IT's been dead reliable and surprisingly accurate. at a whopping 12 ounces, it's not much fun on the range, but very easy to conceal in light clothing.
