Well I just picked up an Inter Ordnance AK47 and I've gotta say that I'm pretty impressed so far. The fit and finish are what you can expect from a $600 AK, which is to say, not terrible but not winning any awards. AK's are not really known for being beautiful anyways, they're known for being robust and reliable, which the IO seems to be so far.

What I like about it is:

1. Made in USA. No pesky compliance issues to worry about if you decide you want to change stocks, foregrips, or other small parts.

2. Lifetime warranty. The gun comes with a lifetime warranty and that makes it a better choice than most lower end milsurp stuff IMO.

3. Comes with two mags. The mags are plastic and cheap like Promag AK mags, they don't feel bad for what they are and work well so far. It is just nice to see two of them in the box, in a time when most companies are getting stingy with their mags.

4. Trigger is pretty good. It is no AR15 match trigger but it is better than the SKS trigger, at least in my opinion.

So has anybody else had one of these? Good experiences? Bad experiences? Okay for the money?

I've gotta say that as of right now I'm pretty happy with this gun.

I go back and forth on these IO Inc AKs. Some people hate them. Some people love them.

Have you shot it, yet?

Sounds like you're happy which is good. If you're asking if they compare well with low price AKs I'd say pick up a WASR10 and see what the extra money got you. I suspect you'll admit the WASR gives you a lot of bang for your buck. Anyway it's the baseline and it's your call whether the extra money got you a better rifle. For what it's worth I went cheap and it works fine.

It was mainly the warranty and no compliance to deal with that sold me on this thing.

60 rounds through it, seems alright so far.
