I may have witnessed the beginning of the end! No, not the apocalypse but an end to the long cold winter of our discontent. Stopping in to my favorite LGS after work today I perused the open rack of used rifles, something I haven't done lately. I noted large bags of used 5.56 brass on the counter and a case of .22 (shorts!!! Hate that). I was prepared to make my way back toward the rows of mounts and rings when a number of red boxes caught my eye...red boxes where, in months gone by had sat boxes of Hornady 22 Cal. bullets!

Moving with purpose I headed back and to my amazement found row after row of brand new bullets. 100 count, 250 count, 50 and 60 grain, choices lighter and heavier. I scanned down to see 10mm, 30 cal. and more. My head spinning, I spun round and saw .22 lr. in the ammo isle, 40 S&W, 9mm! They had 9mm people! Prices were unchanged, practice and HP and different brands populated once barren shelves. I moved over one isle though I could see the reloading dies were nearly picked clean (still) yet there they were... Lee .223 Rem. dies. Value, Standard and Deluxe 3-die sets, everything but the taper crimp.

While powder was in short supply and AR mags limited to used consignment GIs at $45/ea. I truly believe the first hint of light was on the horizon. If distributors cared enough to send that tiny little shop reloading supplies and ammo I have to believe a full thaw cannot be far behind.

I'm am very happy your local gunshot got a shipment in, the rest of the US is still very bare when it comes to loaded ammunition and loading components. Who do I have to kill to get a LB of H110 around here?... Darn my 30 carbine interest.

When last primers dried up his was the last store on Earth I thought would ever see them again. Once they arrived however he's had them in continuous till last month. Seeing LP & LR was a sure sign that we'll all be rolling in the good times soon. As Justin Wilson would say "I guaronte!...whew"
