Hey fellas the binge is over.
In the past few weeks I have been on an all out assalt on the reloading bench either the ammo can for a particular caliber is full or out of brass.
.223/5.56. 2600
300 B/O. 1850
.458 Socom. 540
Colt 45. 600
7.62x54r. 500
303 Brit. 500
7.62x39. 1000
8mm mauser 500
7mm rem mag 80.
Now for guys like us thats what we keep on hand. And it makes sense Buy In in bulk.
This is where it gets WEIRED all on a single stage press yep a trusty rock chucker. I have a lee move by hand turret press and from time to time do use it mainly seat then crimp.
I tried the turret with the powder measure but I just don't trust it. I need to see the powder in every case. I use the lil plastic 45 trays that come with store bought ammo once primed sized trimmed stand um up fill with powder check powder level with a flash lite I do 5 to 10 at a time and try to use boat tails as the bt will kinda stay in the case till I press it in. I have been doing this method for years and only 1 squib powder did not ignite.
I get really busy in the summer shooting fishing wheeling and trying not to get fired for taking so much time off work. That' the reason for the binging I'm a bit ahead of schedule so I have about 50lb of lead I can cast and a few k of 223 brass I can remove crimp prime size and trim.
Now I know this post is long and pointless but I have noticed posts seem to have slowed down.
Over the years the high road has been been so co dependent on my reloading addiction want to help by partisapating.
