First, is it really a true crown..?
If it's like my factory barreled Px4 40, then it is a so so crown, in that, looking at mine you'd think they started it then had a few drinks, too many, forgot to make it true (perfect) all the way around, otherwise, not a true, precise looking wise, crown yet the accuracy, gun wise, and mine, input, are there without doubt..
Looks can be deceiving (when discovered - looked at) and never saw this or that before, such as my barrels crown, more cut here than there, what looks like a burr over there, etc.
If your guns accuracy, along with your input/accuracy are there then, like my Px4, it's just a so so finish - yet accuracy wise, it's fine..
Looking at it now, and it's even worse looking under a magnifying lamp.. yet just shot it yesterday and POA - POI dead-on at 18ft - 30ft same as it has been over the last 2yrs and 3000 flawless rounds with its ugly looking semi crown finish.
So, other than you dropping it right on the barrel crown.. or sudden loss of accuracy with notation of "event" that damaged crown, I wonder if you really have a problem (yet).. ?
