I was given a bunch of 9mm rubber bullet rounds by a fellow at the range this morning. He had sold his 9 and had them languishing in his ammo box. Anyone use these? They are hard rubber bullets fired w/ only a primer. An autoloader is rendered single shot but the bullet can be contained by a cardboard box with newspapaer in it. Seems cool, any reason I should avoid using them?

I think you are describing the E. European indoor practice loads.

If you can verify that they are indeed all plastic bullets with only primer, go ahead and light them up.

Still be careful about ventilation though because the primers themselves can really stink. I wouldn't want too much of it in my lungs.

Yeah, he said they were indoor practice loads. I pulled one apart and no powder. He said to clean the barrel afterwards cause the rubber gums it up a bit. I'll give 'em whirl.

Thanks for the heads up Seattle. Hadn't thought about using them on pesky animals, not a bad idea. I tried them out, kinda like shooting a pellet gun, a little louder but not much.
