I have an old (40's I think) .22 that was my grandfather's. It is a bolt action with a tube magazine underneath. The tube holds 10 shots. It was originally only supposed to take regular .22's, but has been modified sometime since to take .22LR. It has a light colored wood stock, with an engraving of a rabbit on the stock. I don't ahhve any pics right now, but will work on it (it's being worked on right now).

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Sears or other department-store brand rifle, which could've been made by any of a number of makers. The rabbit on the stock pretty indicative of it being a store gun.
