small cowboy gunshop nearby, blackpowder mostly, went out of business.
did find oddly one 500 piece bag of mixed headstamp .223 brass, all in good shape but i couldn't ID some of those headstamps and was hoping that some sharpies here could ID them. about 450 pieces are LCc from 84,86, 00,01,02, 08, pmc, & fc. the few i don't know and if they are berdan primed or not are:
"MI 93" w/a date of 08
"FNM" with various numbers below like 3-75 or 83-75 etc
rorg 92
TW 73
anyone ever seen these before?

RORG is Radway ??Ordinance Rsomething Gsomething"??
TW might be Taiwan.
There is a site out there with a fairly comprehensive list.

Look in the neck for the holes is the quickest - I got it down to where I can hold it in the right relationship to the lighting.

Some boxer primed have flash holes that are not centered. I did find one headstamp with the flash holes undersized. They were German, but I don't recall the stamp.

TW is Twin Cities

According to the list I posted:
MI = Robert Paulet & Cie, Société Méridionale d'Industrie, Marseille, France
ROFB = Royal Ordnance Factory Birtley, Birtley, County Durham UK
RORG = Royal Ordnance Factory Radway Green, Radway Green, UK

FNM has 3
Fábrica Nacional de Municiones, Santa Fe, México (near Mexico City)
Fábrica Nacional de Munições de Armas Ligeiras, Chelas, Portugal 1
Unknown Factory, Mexico

Look closer at your "MI", it is probably "IMI", Israel Military Ind. Your ID of the "MI" is incorrect for this caliber...or century.

thanks for the help & links, guys. as usuual, always the place to go ,here.
No, i'm not drinking, in fact using a magnifer, its definately "MI". as WNTFW noted and as found in his link, its from france. now, if the Mi means from france, and at the bottom "08" is the date, what would the "93" after the MI mean ?
should i chuck these french, portuguese, & english cases? probably berdan primed. i'm not breaking anymore pins.

I have a bunch of 8x57 Portuguese headstamped FNM 70-23; the boxes are definitely printed in Portuguese. Bought it about 30 years ago; shoots great, non-corrosive Berdan. Wish I had another thousand or so...

I always take an unknown brass and use a flashlight and look in the darn thing and determine if the samples (yes more than one if them) are able to be deprimed or not. Have not broken a decapping pin in years now as a result.:D
