Weatherby’s most famously had three banks of three lugs each.

There have been many makers of Weatherby’s over the years but if it was a Mark V it had the 3x3.

Pretty sure it’s not a weatherby not a blazer. Any other ideas?
I think it’s some off brand cheapie. Just has that feel and casting look to the bolt handle?

The 4 lugs and wing safety on the bolt shroud as well as what appears to be a Sako style extractor, suggest at least a small amount of attention to detail in the design.

I would expect these features on medium to higher price range mass produced rifles as opposed to lower.

How those features were executed is a different matter.

The fluting sure looks like Weatherby Mk V...but the lugs and checkered bolt knob don't.

Could it be from one of the transitional Weatherbys (Pre Mk V) or maybe a Vanguard in a non-.532 case head chambering like the .240 WM?

A stumper for sure...good luck finding out the maker.

Stay safe.

Here is a browning A-bolt on the right, but it has 3 banks of 2 lugs (60 dgre bolt throw). The one above has a two-lug look...

Could it be from a pre A-bolt BBR?

Stay safe.
