Need some help identifying a (military?) stock I was just gifted with.

Hardware: Buttplate has a trapdoor for cleaning kit, no markings, 1 3/8"sling swivel , no markings, 2 reinforcing bolts through the stock fore & aft of the magazine cutout.

The stock itself has the following brands in the wood. On the *left side*, just aft of the bolt handle cutout, are the letters R A W. On the underside of the wrist, just aft of the trigger guard cutout is a circled P, small T, and another circled P.

Inletting of the topside of the stock shows it being for a tubular receiver with a barrel recoil lug located about 7/8" in front of the magazine cutout.

Any help would be appreciated.

Flipping through my books I think I have it. 1903 Springfield, left side cartouche is actually BAWL. Wasn't sure if the L was actually a stamp or a ding in the wood. Web search turned up cartouche lists once I had some idea of what it is. BAWL was a Benecia armory refurb.
