Imr sr 7625 ?

I have not used this powder and would like to know if it is suitable for 38spl, 44spl and 45acp.
Is 7625 a ball or flake powder ? I have tried 700X and it did not meter well in my powder throw.

Meters better than 700-X, but not as good as 4227. I have used it in 32-20, 380, .38/.357 and 45 Colt with good to very good results.

7625 is a fine flake powder that meters perfectly for me. It burns completely, even with reduced loads. It is very position sensitive in cases like the .357 with light bullets, but should work just fine in the calibers you listed.
I like it a lot in 9mm, .38 Super, .357 (158 or heavier), .40. Haven't tried it in your calibers.

It seems all of the "SR" powders in the IMR line are very good powders but these days not well known. I wonder who IMR bought out to get the SR powder line and how many there were originally?

Does anyone know what "SR" stands for in the line? I like SR4756 (no experience with the OP's powder question) but cannot find any info about the SR moniker and how it applies across the line.

7625 meters very very well. I've used it for 9mm and like it. It'll put up some impressive velocities.

Sporting Rifle? I might have thought so as well, but some SR powders (SR4756 comes to mind) are not suitable for rifles.

The IMR powders were originally DuPont powders, and the SR did stand for Sporting Rifle, as opposed to IMR, which stood for Improved Military Rifle.

I've used a lot of SR 7625 in 9x19 loadings, and started using SR 4756 for .38 Special and 9x19 loadings in the early 1960's. They are very good powders.
