I have (4) .45's, and did not get in front of the ammo purchasing curve...my BAD!

If anyone has a source for bulk 45 ACP FMJ, please send me a PM or email. I've spent days looking with no luck.

I'm not trying to horde, just trying to get some ammo to practice with (picking up a new Sig Equinox P220 soon - and short of .45).

Any help mucho appreciated...

There's a bottleneck in the link - MUCH higher demand. Wait and look around as you can.

Yeah, but if I let you have some then I have to let him have some...and all that means is there's less for me and we can't have that, can we?

Georgia Arms has some with a 5-7 week wait. Ammoman.com had some listed yesterday...I think it was Wolf FMJ. That's about all I have seen recently.

Cabelas had some 230 grain gold dots this past weekend online.

I check 6 sites each day when it's time to buy .45's 3 times a year.

Thanks folks. I'll post in the WTB section.

I was hoping to buy 500/1,000 bulk to get a decent(?) price.

I hope the manufactures just under forecasted their Q1 numbers (Obama factor), and we finally reach an equilibrium in the chain...

Just keep lookin' You'll find some. For example, I spent over 3 months looking for .45 and finally, just a week ago, found a supplier. I drive a truck, and have checked literally well over 100 places across the country. I could tell you where I found mine, but then I would be SOL when I want to replenish. So for now, I will keep my $14.99/box $275/case .45 acp a secret.

Ive a pile sitting in a shop down the road. I will learn how long it takes for that pile to be depleted. Not very long at all. If several CHL Classes run 20 each and all shoot a box, that pile be gone in a month or less.

I've learned the fine art of selective back-ordering. It takes a couple of weeks to get rolling, but then the ammo starts coming in with regularity.....and delivered to my doorstep without a search.

I bought a Dillon 550B so I wouldn't be looking for ammo all the time...........Now I spend my time looking for primers.

dang. last time i bought .45 was at WalMart at $300 for 1000. thats nuts!

that was in december of 2007 though before the ammo skyrocketed.
