A local gun shop was out of Federal red box 357 158 grain ammo. They suggested Independence 357 made by Federal. If it is made by Federal, it should be good. Any one here have experience with this ammo?

That is the brand that my indoor range sells for factory range ammo. I've shot the .45acp and 9mm before I started reloading. Never tried the .357.

I heard it was actually made by Magtech. Either way, from my experience it's decent range ammo.

I've fired a good amount of it before I started reloading. The brass is good for reloading too. It's fairly hot too so you know you're shooting a Magnum round, not like when you shoot Blazer ammo.
