Information on a S&W .38 Special

I have a Smith and Wesson .38 Special that I received from my grandmother. The serial number on the bottom of the butt is 2D83414. The numbers on the arm of the cylinder is 25235 and F23 is under that. SMITH & WESSON is on the left side of the barrel. 38 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG. is on the right side of the barrel. MADE IN U.S.A., MARCAS REGISTRADAS, SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS is on the right side under the cylinder. Barrel length is approx. 6 inches. It is blue steel. Any help would be appreciated.
