So I recently acquired a Winchester Model 67.

It's got a 27" barrel, chrome bolt, groove and post sights (regular .22 or airgun iron sighs, no peep or aperture). The rifling looks somewhat worn but bright and shiny, and the crown looks pretty decent. There's some rust on the outside of the barrel, especially around the rear sight. There is no serial marked. It's chambered for .22 short, long and long rifle.

I can't put up a pic tonight, but I can get one tomorrow.

Anyone know anything about it? What's it potentially worth? Should I clean off the rust and leave the original finish that is left, or would it be ok to have it re-blued?

Nobody can tell me anything about this? There's not a lot of information on Winchester's site, just that it was made from the 30's to the 60's and there were a few variations. I know mine is one of the earlier models as it has the chrome bolt and not blued.

Mine is a 67A, though with a 20" barrel, purchased by my Grandfather way back when. It is a sweet, accurate little shooter with a very light trigger, affectionately nicknamed "Ratgun". I would never sell it, as it has gone through three generations and #4 is growing like a weed.

Thanks for the link Isher, I didn't search as I've been having issues with my browser and the search hasn't been working for me (it's on my end mods, no worries).

Here's a couple pics of mine, as you can see it's in pretty rough shape externally. I've got some work ahead of me. At least I got a good deal... Only paid $30.
The bore looks good, if a little faint. I'm not sure whether the bore should be sharp and distinct in a .22 of this age or not, but it shoots pretty well. I haven't grouped it yet, but I've hit everything I've aimed at offhand (soda cans and pine cones @ ~50 - 100 ft)
