:p I did a search and found some info, but not in this caliber.

Does anyone use this? how is it?

It seems like an obsolete round, but I'd like to have some personal opinions.

It's attached to an Interarms Mk10 (also, how are these rifles?) So far all I have figured is it's a zastava commecial mauser

The 308 Norma mag is a great caliber. It is a touch better than the 300 Win mag in my opinion. It came out before the 300 Win Mag as well, 1961 versus 1963. BUT, poor marketing and an odd name did it no good. The same goes for the wonderful 358 Norma Mag. The overall case length is 2.560 inches compared to the 2.610 for the 300 Win Mag. But the neck of the Norma Mag is a little longer and seems to give better bullet seating.
Norma still makes brass and loaded ammo. But the brass is about $1 per round or more. The velocity performance is almost exactly the same as the 300 Win Mag.
I do not think that Interarms originaly marketed the Mark X in 308 Norma Mag. Maybe they did. But more than likely it has been rebarreled.
The Mark Xs are a good solid Mauser action. Some of the older rifles in 375HH and 458 had stock spliting problems.
