Interchangable buttstocks?

My manual for my mossberg 500 is very unhelpful on what if any parts are compatable with the 500a. I have seen a thumbhole stock for the 500a (12GA) and wondered if anyone here knew if it would fit my 500 (12GA)?

Virtually all Mossberg 500, 500A and 590 series parts interchange.

About the only real differences in design is the different magazine and barrel assembly used on the 590 series.

Yeah they're all pretty much the same, including Mavericks. So it should work just fine.
