Interested in Building an AR-15

I am interested in building an AR-15 but am new to the weapons platform. I read where you can buy a kit and a stripped lower reciever and build one. I also read you can buy a complete lower reciever, does this mean that all you need is a barreled upper and bolt group? I would like to have one put togother either this year or early next year.

You can go to www.ar15.com and get all the info needed to build an AR. I have built 5. I would suggest a copy of Shotgun News for info on kits from Modle 1, M&A, J&T, Armalite, etc. You also might think of building later this year, especially if the dems take over the House. Besides spending a lot of time trying to impeach the President, they will be pushing a tougher version of the Klinton slime bill, so things may get pressured to change next year.

Mine was manufactured by Stag Arms. There are other good manufacturers out there.

An upper, a bolt, a bolt carrier and a charging handle.
