I saw something in another topic which reminded me of this guy that has been abusing his Glock 21 since he got it. He states that its barrel is a smoothbore from all the shooting hes done, would that make it NFA?

He states that its barrel is a smoothbore from all the shooting hes done,

Being that there are Glocks that go hundreds of thousands of rounds on a barrel I seriously doubt this is the case.

Back to your question. Some time ago removing most of the rifling from a 45 SAA was done to adapt it to shooting shotshells from cut down 410s. Having the rifling in the barrel made it legal but I don't know how well it worked.

I don't think you can shoot any barrel enough to make all the rifling disappear. If someone has seen this let us know about it.

"...its barrel is a smoothbore..." I'd bet he's never cleaned it. Might have been using cast bullets that have filled in the rifling.
Still isn't an NFA firearm. In any case, NFA firearms have strict definitions. A shot out barrel isn't one of 'em.
