Is anyone changing carry/training distance in light of terrorrist threats?

I think it makes sense to increase training at longer distance...ironically not at the distances we trained at in the early days of IPSC, where 50 yard standards in national matches were a given. A 25 yard head shot is not an irrational goal. I carry a G26 with an RMR for concealment. If I'm just out and about with an untucked shirt -- CO is an open carry state -- I'll go to a 19 with an RMR. If I go to Denver or another big city, I add a 2nd gun, a Ruger LCR in 9mm. It has the simplest manual of arms(point & click) in case I have to hand it off,

I hear all the time that you're more likely to get struck by lightning than be in a mass csualty event, and yet I know someone who tied in a freak lightning storm.

Training at longer distances has made me more aware of the limits of my skill and weapon. It shows me what distance to take a shot and when not to if I am expecting a hit vs just suppressive fire.
