Just curious is anyone else on here was from California and how you deal with our legislation and living in a very gun-unfriendly environment. I've lived here for 20 years now (I was born here and never left) and was just curious how many other Californians are around here.

And yes, I know California sucks as a state to own guns in. Replies like "Haha, CA blows, im glad I live in ___" just waste space.

At 19, I'd imagine that you aren't old enough to purchase firearms in most of the other states either.

Davis has a conservative background, lots of gun owners and hunters where you live.

Born and raised. Moved away and came back twice. At 53 years of age, I'm kind of glad we're becoming unpopular. There probably isn't a way to track it, but I'd guess about half of the crazy laws Californians endure were voted in, or supported by, people who moved here.

I grew up in San Jose, CA. I moved to Texas last year. However, I wanted more freedom in general, not just fewer restrictions on gun ownership. CA government steps on your individual liberty all across the board.

There are things you can do to make your life easier when it comes to firearms. For example, if you get a C&R License, you can buy/sell those guns just as you could in a free state. Also, some aspects aren't bad -- you can have a long gun in your car, concealed or in plain view, as long as it's not loaded. That's on par with many other states. I think it only gets annoying when you're getting into handguns and EBRs.

Looking for an affordable way out. Lived here all my life and can no longer stand the place. Too bad cause the weather is so nice compared to the options.
