Is there a difference between these two?

Just bought a box of these and a box of these.

Description of the former: Winchester AA Low Recoil Target Ammunition 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 7/8 oz #8 Shot Box of 25 $8.99

Description of the latter: Winchester WinLite Low Recoil Ammunition 12 Gauge 2-3/4" 7/8 oz #8 Shot Box of 25 $11.49

Both are stated to run at 980 fps on the Midway site. The WinLites are even stamped AA on the shells. One of them has "ribbed" red shells while the other red shells are smooth.

Considering the identical load specs and velocities, I can't imagine there's any real difference between the two--except for the price. Correct? I was looking to try out a powderpuff 12ga load and compare it with the purple-box Fiocchi, so I bought both.

I've never used the latter (Ribbed), but the AA Low Noise/Low Recoil (Smooth) are great. It's what we shoot for Cowboy Action and for plinking.

And just FYI, Walmart (at least here) carries them locally for about $7.50.

Correct--assuming Midway's links are correct.

I won't have a chance to run the two types of shells through a gun for a couple of weeks, so I was hoping someone out there knew.
