Is this a good deal for a .223 Saiga??

Good price.

I'd like it better with two changes:

I REALLY dislike those cheap Tapco folding stocks. Still, at the price, it would pay to get it and replace the stock.

I'd love if it had already had a bullet guide installed in order to use Galil or Orlite Magazines. Still, a quick trip to Dinzag's website can fix that.

The changes I mentioned would run about $100.00 total. So the deal is fair if you wanted it in an optimal configuration.

That is a decent price since it has already been converted. A bullet guide from Dinzag should only be about $25 and a new stock anywhere from about $30 and up. Just make sure the stock is made in the USA.

That stock is an embarrassment. But once you get the rifle fixed up, it will be one sweet shooter. .223 Saigas are very nice rifles.

"NIB unfired". Do they come from the factory like that?

I paid $300 for my x39 at the last gun show, including taxes and other BS fees they tacked on.

Just so you know, I don't think that magazine pictured comes with it, but rather the stock 10 rounder.

That one has been converted to the traditional configuration.
I seriously doubt it is Unfired. One would think that they would "TEST" fire it.

Yep,he'd have no choice but to ditch that stock. I've never seen any sidefolder so completely obstruct access to the trigger, at least in that example.:uhoh:

I'm pretty sure all Saigas are test fired. I know mine x39, and many others, come with an inspection paper stating shot groups that were test fired by the factory.

juicey, the folder costs 100 bucks, so it is if you paid 285 for the rest of the rifle, which with the conversion , is a heck of a deal.
