Oh Hi Oh
I wish had had my digital camera handy but It's out for repair so I'll do my best to describe...

On the bottom of the slide for my new Sig 239-.40 I'm looking at the polished protrusion of metal that runs length-wise along the bottom of the slide and rides over the cartridge in the magazine. Sure wish I knew the name of it but I don't. Anyway I noticed that the end of this piece that's closest to the breech face is higher than the rest of this piece. On my 9mm 239 there is not high spot. In fact I don't think I've seen this on any semi auto. Is this normal on the .40? I can't tell is it's machined to be higher or if it's just a manufacturing error. I hope this description makes some sense.

Thanks
