When I first purchased my single stage press and related components, I got one of those Lee Precision Scales. (I soon afterwards traded some powder for a nice RCBS 5-0-5 scale.) For a while I thought maybe I should sell the Lee scale for a few bucks and use the RCBS scale exclusively. ;)

Recent gun acquisitions have brought about some new handgun calibers that I'm now reloading. I've discovered that it's actually a good idea to have a second scale around, so as to be able to do an occasional check between them. Thus, I have developed a new appreciation for the Lee Precision Scale. Though an inexpensive item, I find it to be "dead on", and when I use it to see how it corroborates with a charge weight that I have in my other scale, I feel very reassured. Go ahead and call me a "two-scale guy" if you'd like. I'll be keeping it for a good while to come. :D

Happy shooting!

Same here, I have a Lee, an RCBS beam and a digital scale.

Considering the "cheap" construction of the Lee, mine has been accurate. Zero the scale often (as per Lee instructions)....and weigh away, mine has been dead on also.

Nothin' wrong with two scales. I have a Lee and a digital. I'd planned on replacing the Lee with the digital until I found that the Lee actually works better, so much for technology.

I now use the digital mainly for rough setting of my powder dispenser, then fine tune it with the beam scale.

I gave up the Lee that came with my Challenger kit in favor of an RCBS 5-0-5, which I really like. Never could warm up to digital.
