When I first purchased my single stage press and related components, I got one of those Lee Precision Scales. (I soon afterwards traded some powder for a nice RCBS 5-0-5 scale.) For a while I thought maybe I should sell the Lee scale for a few bucks and use the RCBS scale exclusively.
Recent gun acquisitions have brought about some new handgun calibers that I'm now reloading. I've discovered that it's actually a good idea to have a second scale around, so as to be able to do an occasional check between them. Thus, I have developed a new appreciation for the Lee Precision Scale. Though an inexpensive item, I find it to be "dead on", and when I use it to see how it corroborates with a charge weight that I have in my other scale, I feel very reassured. Go ahead and call me a "two-scale guy" if you'd like. I'll be keeping it for a good while to come.
Happy shooting!
