A friend of mine has an old Iver Johnson Target Sealed 8 which appears to be in pretty nice shape after I cleaned the grit & grime from it. However it is double action only. The loading notch on the hammer works and holds. Revolver will not stay cocked as a SA. There isn't enough wear on this old revolver for anything to be worn out. Anyone have any idea if they were made DA only or if some could have been made DA only?

Talked to a friend who does some gunsmithing and he said most likely was a bent or broke spring that set's behind the sear. You can feel some tension on the sear so I am guessing it's a bent spring. It's also getting 3 snaps out of 8 rounds when fired DA. Interesting old revolver that appears the same design & frame from the Iver Johnson Young American from the early 1930's.
