Here is my question when you carry iwb do you just move up to the next pant size. I have never done it and am looking for ideas.

Depends on your build and WHERE in the waistband. I'm in trim shape... if i carried alongside the hip, i'd have to go up a pant size (can't squeeze pelvic bone). As I carry right over my appendectomy scar, that's not an issue... i don't even change notches on my belt. if i had more squishable cuddliness around the sides, i might be able to squeeze a holster in there... who knows? and if you've got the right amount of junk in the trunk, the hollow at the small of you back might be perfect... i've seen plumbers that coulda hid a .44 mag in there. :p

It also depends on how you're wearing your pants now. If you're wearing skinny jeans, almost definitely need to go up. If you wear clothes like I do, that require a belt to keep from showing an inch or two of your unders, then you're probably fine. If you have to hold your pants to keep from tripping over them, might even want to go down a size ;)

I carry my sr9c at the 01:30 position with the same size jeans I always wear. I never forget it's there but I find it more comforting than uncomfortable.

IWB

Being 5'10'' and 225lbs,I haven't had any problem wearing at 1:30,even with jeans.A thinner guy shouldn't have any problem either.Like all things it just takes a little getting used to.You can access your weapon sitting, laying or standing which gives you a quick draw from any position !

I've often wondered how people can conceal a full sized 1911 when I can't even hide a cz 82 because the grips print under my shirt! It seems like everything I try to conceal unless its a tiny snubby with a short grip, is going to print no matter what I wear. I'm about 6'0" and 165 lbs with a "slightly" muscular build ( I have a 4 pack wear my six pack used to be).

How tight is your shirt, snakeman?

What type of rig do you have? Does the gun hug you or pull away?

I technically don't have any concealment holsters. I have a rossi 4" 357 that is the easiest gun I have to conceal. Next in line is a cz 82. My shirts are mostly loose fitting t shirts and button downs. Sometimes I tuck em in but don't expect to conceal then. Just tucking the gun in my pants the grip usually is up against my body but still prints.

Depends on how tight you wear your pants. My EDC is a glock 17 in one of my custom hybrid IWB holsters and I also carry an IWB double mag pouch. I didnt have to go up a pant size but Im a big guy and Ive never been fond of tight pants.

At 6' 185 and fit, I wear pants one size larger for IWB. I carry a G26 at 3:30 with a crossbreed supertuk. It hides well and I've never been made even by family members when we play where am I hiding my gun today. Loose T shirts work fine.

The main thing is a good holster and belt. I use a wilderness tactical belt. The best thing about this kind of belt is that it's infinitely adjustable, this was a must for me.

Printing is a personal thing. The reality is that no one is really going to notice a small print in your shirt. I'll print in a T shirt if I bend over. If you bend at the knees you won't print. I still am subconscious about carrying sometimes. I'm always wondering if someone will notice. I expect this to go away some day.
